Julie Andrews - A Musical Icon

This once-in-a-lifetime event starring the one and only Julie Andrews was a celebration of the life and career of one of the world’s most popular icons. 

From 1947 to the present, Something Social explored the highlights of Ms Andrews' incredible career on Facebook and Twitter where fans could reminisce on movies from their childhood, submit a question to the star and even "Strike A Pose" from one her movies to win prizes.



Mrs Browns Boys

The British, Scottish & Irish BAFTA award winning TV series, Mrs. Brown's Boys has been taken into the hearts of Aussie's since Agnes Brown burst onto Channel 7 in 2012. 

The announcement of the 2014 tour of the entire cast in "Mrs Brown Rides Again" set Aussies into a frenzy as Something Social were engaged to establish the social media presence with an integrated Twitter & Facebook campaign designed to celebrate the characters & invite Aussie's into "the family" to drive registrations. The family are set to return again in 2016 and we're still creating hilarious content 2 years later!



Annual Helpmann Awards

Sponsored by Arena, The Annual Helpmann Awards® recognise distinguished artistic achievement and excellence in the many disciplines of Australia's vibrant live performance sectors, including musical theatre, contemporary music, comedy, opera, classical music, theatre, dance and physical theatre. 

Something Social were engaged to create some serious buzz in the lead up to this prestigious event in both 2013 and 2014 and were there to tweet and post the winners and all the nights' glitz and glamour!



Idina Menzel

In June 2013, Melbourne were enchanted by the Tony award winning Broadway superstar performing live on stage. 

Something Social celebrated the incredible talent with loving fans on both Facebook and Twitter with no shortage of video, photos and stories spanning an incredible career that began in 1995. We combined the social approach with Facebook advertising targeting musical fans and Google search and display to ensure an integrated and comprehensive campaign.



Bear Grylls Live On Stage

Bear Grylls toured Australia and NZ sharing tales of dropping into a viper pit in Panama’s Camino Reale, negotiating a piranha-infested river, battling extreme conditions in frozen Siberia and eating sheep’s eyeballs. 

It's all in a day's work for Bear and Something Social were there to make sure fans were up to speed with his latest adventures and entertained with extreme black ops level survival challenges to prove their allegiance to the man in the lead up to the show.



An Evening With Eckhart Tolle

One of the world's leading spiritual gurus, Eckhart Tolle toured Australia and New Zealand in 2014, discussing spiritual awakening and the transformation of consciousness.

The Something Social team were engaged to execute a digital marketing strategy across social and PPC platforms to build pre-sale subscriber lists and generate buzz around this very rare event.



  

Timmy Trumpet

Something Social has had the pleasure of working with one of the fastest rising stars of the Australian and global DJ scene. 

An innovator and all round legend, Timmy Trumpet engaged our team to assist with his ever growing social media while on the 2013 festival circuit. From quirky captions and crowd-pleasing competitions to cross timezone, cross platform coordination, we held the fort while the musician did what he does best - make the masses go wild! 



The Graduate starring Jerry Hall

Jerry Hall reprised her role as the legendary seductress, the sexy, sultry Mrs Robinson in a Melbourne exclusive season of "The Graduate" in 2013. Jerry has wowed audiences in this iconic piece of American culture in the West End, Toronto, Broadway, North America and now, it was Melbourne's turn to be seduced.
